Before coming to the course I was experiencing palpitations and anxiety. Creating time for myself to practice the yoga postures and meditation has created space for me not to be so chaotic. I no longer feel like a hamster on a wheel.
Incorporating meditation, yoga postures and breathing exercises have been excellent tools for me to start the process of change. I have been more patient with my spouse and family. I am trying to change the mental picture of the way I think things should be.

This program helped me understand the mind-body relationships and how this affects health. This knowledge enabled a conviction that I could change things. The activities provided a glimpse into how things could change. I used the meditation, yogic breathing and mindfulness techniques to help overcome anxiety and restlessness. It is a start but I am very optimistic that concepts & activities learned in this program will provide the path to a healthier & happier life.

Physically I feel better. My center core feels stronger. The mindfulness made me more aware of what is happening around and in me and therefore act more in the now.
I found having group discussions really helped me to understand myself and know how my problems can be understood and why they are the way they are. I have noticed slight changes in how I communicate with my mother and daughter. Now we have enjoyable conversation more often than before.

Emphasis of mindfulness was very positive. This was not new to me but the program brought it back into focus for me and encouraged adoption of the practice. Also liked the physical, mental and spiritual balance of yoga and meditation/relaxation. I liked the holistic approach and will continue to work on integrating some of the techniques and approached learned into my life.
