On March 3, 2013, I had the privilege of speaking at TEDx McMaster University as an invited speaker. I chose to speak on topic of paying attention and the title of my talk was ‘Pay Attention, Live Tastefully‘. It is premised on a simple fact that paying attention, even it is something uncomfortable, enhance the quality of our life and helps us in developing positive mental qualities such as joy, happiness, generosity.
If we can train to observe events, moments and experiences within the framework of universal law of impermanence, we are given the opportunity to understand that everything has a shelf-life. It may take longer for some things to pass, but everything passes and new things/events/feelings take their place.
The edited video of this talk will be posted sometimes in the next four weeks. I would love to hear your feedback.
