Sitting silently
Doing nothing
Spring comes
And grass grows by itself.
This is the essence of Zen, nay, of life. In order to live fully, we do not have to struggle hard. Like the grass which springs into life upon the arrival of right time, we also have to find the right time/path for personal blossoming. But that time/path cannot be dictated by will-power or rational thinking. It has to come from our inner strength, we have to let it happen. There are various methods to tap into that source and one of them is meditation—the non-cultic cultivation of personal awareness and transcendence of body and mind. Once we become aware of our body and mind, life blossoms like a flower. Because if the conditions are right, nothing can prevent a flower from blossoming. If we also follow the same example, life becomes full of joy and happiness.
